There was once a poor shoemaker, who worked very hard, but still he could not earn enough to live upon. All he had in the world was gone. He had just enough leather to make one last pair of shoes…but help comes in an unexpected way! Puppetry, object theatre and original live music. The story is set in a shoemaker’s shop and is told in a playful way with gentle audience participation. Banyan, are always a delight to watch. Don’t miss this show.

    What will you make, maybe a wizard with a wand or maybe a witch who’ll cast her spell on you….? Come see, touch and learn all about shadow puppets from around the world, then ‘create and take’ your very own shadow puppet and try it out on the shadow screen.

    We have been telling stories using hand shadows for hundreds of years. In this workshop from Finger & Thumb, explore how to create and play with some of the hand shadow puppets inspired by Circus Bear, maybe a mummy or daddy and baby bear and to make some of your very own.
