Corpus Christie Pr have had many successful visits with Malcolm and Sarah. The children come here as part of a social studies topic on Chembakoli – The Journey of Tea, were they find out that village children in India like to hear and act out puppet stories. In school we link the puppet making to acting out plays in small groups and also as an aid to an imaginative writing. The Centre provides an invaluble experience for the children in learning about puppets from the past and in motivating them creatively in their writing. Our trips have been wonderful and I overheard one child say “This is the best trip ever“. Mrs Boyle Primary 3 Class Teacher
‘Thank you so much for the fabulous time you gave our primary 2 classes on our visit to your puppet theatre. We have never seen the entire class so totally engaged and absorbed with their puppet making and your demonstration of all the wonderful puppets to begin with made a big impression too! The children wanted to write and thank you themselves for the lovely time you gave them. Thank you for making our summer outing such a big success.’ Marline Thomson, Barbie Paterson, Liz Lees Primary 2 Bearsden School.
