SERVICE STANDARDS

We aim to process and dispatch your order within two business days of receiving it.

Inland U.K. orders up to 2 kilos postage and packing will be delivered by Royal Mail packet post and orders from 2-10 kilos will be sent by the best service for the weight of goods.

Overseas orders to Europe and the Rest of the World, up to 10 kilos postage and packing (2 kilos P&P Canada) are sent by Royal Mail Airmail.

If parcels are returned to us because you haven't collected or contacted the relevant service we will automatically refund the cost of the goods but not the cost of delivery. The onus is on you to make sure you are available to receive your order.

ENQUIRIES

We will be pleased to help with your choice of book or advise further on its contents. We only sell products with which we are familiar, and our catalogue gives a detailed overview of each book or related product. Please address your book enquiries to the attention of Malcolm Knight.

AVAILABILITY AND PAYMENT

Out of stock books are removed from the website while we are waiting for them to come back into stock. We do not sell books that we don't have in stock (unless by oversight or error). If a product is on order but not in stock, this may be because of shortages at the publishers or because of unavoidable delays in republishing.

However, in the event of an oversight in the sale of an out of stock item we will give you the option to cancel your order in return for a full refund of any monies paid, or to accept a suitable alternative product.

If there are books that we do not stock which you would like us to, please let us know. This is a service for you and we would like to continue to expand the range of books on offer.

We accept most major debit and credit cards. Our preferred method of payment is by debit card. We are charged a lower processing fee by the bank for debit card transactions. This means that we can pass the benefit on to you, the customer, by keeping the retail costs of our books down.

If you would prefer, you may opt to pay by cheque or postal order. Please print a copy of your order from the website and send it with your remittance by post. Your order will be despatched upon receipt of payment.

POSTAGE & CARRIAGE CHARGES

Postage and carriage charges are calculated by the total weight of your order, including a built-in packaging weight per item up to a combined total weight of 10 kilos. Our charges are worked out on the cost of postage and packing in 500g increments up to 2000g for UK mainland. Thereafter, UK parcels are sent by the best available service.

To Europe and the Rest of the World, postage and packing charges are worked out incrementally for every 250g up to 10 kilos and are sent by Royal Mail Airmail.

Orders with a combined weight of more than 10 kilos need to be faxed, e-mailed or posted to us. We will then inform you of the total cost and method of despatch of your order, once it has been packed, at which point payment will be requested and the goods will be despatched after receipt of payment.

COLLECTIONS

Should you so wish, and if you live locally or are visiting Glasgow, you may arrange to collect your order from us in person. Please phone or fax your order in advance and please phone to arrange a suitable time for collection.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

Non acceptance of any order may be a result of one of the following:
The product you ordered being unavailable from stock, due to oversight.
Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
The identification of a pricing or product description error.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

If your parcel is returned to us because you weren't available when delivery was attempted, we will refund the cost of the goods but not the delivery charge.

If you're uncertain about some of the products on our Site, please contact us before buying. Should you wish to return a product, please inform us by e-mail within 24 hours of receipt, indicating the reason for the return, and despatch it within 7 days. We would advise that you obtain a dated certificate of posting or return by recorded or special delivery, all Royal Mail services.

We will refund any products that are returned to us in the time-scale stipulated and in the same condition as they were originally sent. Delivery charges, however, cannot be refunded.
