Peking Opera in Shadow Sat 7 Nov 2PM - 5PM

Discover the world of Peking Opera through puppetry in this family-friendly performance and workshop. The event begins with a 30-minute puppet performance bringing a story from Peking Opera to life through shadow puppetry and Peking Opera singing. Characters, drama and music come together to introduce children and families to the storytelling world of Peking Opera through a lively visual performance. After the show, children and their families can take part in a hands-on puppet-making workshop, creating their own puppet and continuing the storytelling in their own way. Inspired by the performance, participants will create a puppet of their own, a small keepsake shaped by family time and personal memory. The workshop is designed for children and families, and all children must be accompanied by a parent, carer or responsible adult throughout.
