Adult Groups & Societies

Visiting Us or visiting you

Whether you come to us or we come to you, we offer lectures and talk demonstrations with puppets and/or masks from our extensive collection materials with founder and collector Dr Malcolm Knight.  We can tailor the content of our talk to your group's requirements on request or present an introductory overview of mask and puppet theatre.  Talks are normally one hour in length and can be combined with a tour of the centre, and/or a creative workshop.

For SMPC visits, please see our workshops under School Visits and Kids Clubs.

If you are interested in having us come to you we can offer a demo introduction alongside a workshop.  Please contact us directly for further details and prices.  Prices are determined by group size, materials, travel costs and workshop length and time of day.

Children's Groups & Organisations

SPECIAL NEEDS

Our work in special needs and therapy extends back over 28 years. We offer workshops to special needs groups and adult day-care centres.  We use puppets for child and adult development in hospitals and clinical contexts, both as diagnostic tools and to promote expressive potential.  We also use puppets in prisons and correctional institutions to lift the weight from those in confinement and as an alternative to oppression.  Through fun and play, puppets are healing tools that can bring healing, remedies, tonic and well-being.
