Puppet Notebook Issue 1

The birth of a new journal replacing the old BrUNIMA Newsletter with a black & white glossy magazine of 32pp and 20 photographs. The structure of the magazine is news; dispatches; features; pictures; interviews; UNIMA news; Reviews; Resources and a select Diary of forthcoming events (national and international). This issue is dedicated to Shadow Theatre and has Ajka Kostelova on "Svanmajer's Feast", Hermione Kontogoula on "The Cave", and Diana Bayliss on "The Shadow's Other Side". There is also a useful interview with Andras Lenart of Mikropodium in Hungary and a good bibliography of books on shadow theatre by Ray DaSilva.
