Puppet Notebook Issue 12

Latest edition of British UNIMA Puppet Notebook is Issue 12 which is a special issue on Scotland, guest edited by Simon Hart of Puppet Animation Scotland. There are articles on "aesthetic ambition" and "strategic support" centred on the ethos of the Puppet Animation  and Manipulate Festivals. An article on Helping Aspiring Puppeteers by Emma Whitters and Company Features including Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre by Leigh McCalister and The Puppet Lab by Symon MacIntyre. Also included are interviews with Shona Reppe and Colin Purves (on continuing a family tradition). There is also a section labelled Resources including The World Through Wooden Eyes by John M.Blundall and The Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre by Malcolm Knight. The Review is dedicated to the latest performance of Birtwhistle's Opera of Punch and Judy plus the usual News and Diary entries.
