Puppet Notebook Issue 2

£5.95Price

Published by British UNIMA this new magazine replaces the BrUNIMA Bulletin 1964-2004. This issue is 32 glossy pages with lots of good b/w photographs. It is the second issue (Spring 2005) and is centred on ideas of movement, change & translation across languages and cultures. There is a special feature on Philip Pullman's 'Dark Materials' and a selection of articles on Jan Klassen, Puppet Theatre in Catalonia during and after the Spanish Civil War, a profile of new work in Holland, Lexical Lego by Dan Bishop and Szopka Scrooge in Poland by Trev Hill. The categories of the magazine are clear and effective: editorial intro, dispatches, features, reviews, resources, portrait, letter and diary.
